  The Shearer is the most used machine in medium and high coal seams thicknesses, in high hardness faces and in all kind of inclinations.

 It is used with armoured chain conveyors (Panzer) in low inclination seams and above wall in high inclination seams where the loosened coal descends by the action of gravity.

Mainly, there are two models, PMA 80 shearer and PMAP shearer.

Both models have a lot of different builds; this allows a wide range of technical possibilities to offer a suitable adaptation of the selected equipment to the present mining conditions.

These are the principal characteristics of the two models. The election depends on the coal seam inclination.
